I jailbroke my ipod touch 1.1.4, it displayed the message installer.app available but on the ipod i can only see the zibri blog and there no installer. I reinstalled twice but still the installer is unavailable on the ipod. can you help me with this?

I am trying to jailbreak my itouch 1g firmware 1.1.4 8gb, following the steps above, without luck. After everything only appears an icon in my touch for Zibris’s blog. I need to know if the itouch need to be in normal mode o DFU o other before start the jailbreak again. Thanks for your help

I downgraded the firmware to 1.1.4 and then followed the ziphone jailbreak steps. However, the installer icon does not appear. I tried repeating the process more than 3 times but still unable to to see the installer icon

Do i have to jail brake my itouch so that i can download free apps from the internet? if so can u give me a link where i can download apps and instal them as easy as this process was?? plz and thanks! : )

Rae, What happens often is that people jailbreak their itouch and then immediately try installing apps not realizing that the network is not setup. Once they resetup the network after the jailbreak then the installer can connect to the repositories it all starts working again…the final comment is that the repositories for jailbroken apps are free and community supported and may have downtime that you might not see on a commercial site. It is free after all.

Anyway, are you still having issues?

Rae, the first question would be…can you surf the net using safari? Usually the problem is that the network needs to be resetup after the jailbreak process…
